Astoria Boudoir’s Body Love Project
We are so excited about our current project, Body Love, it is an initiative to spark change in our community and the world, by building up and celebrating women for the incredibly diverse and multifaceted individuals they are.
Our very first ambassador is a power house. Her name is Chelsey Adams a woman that is beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. She is an: entrepreneur, mother of two and an overall go getter. Chelsey’s enthusiasm for life is contagious and we are so happy to be working with her.
This was Chelsey’s second ever boudoir shoot. She did one prior to getting married, but this is the first she’s done since having kids. She wanted to celebrate all the work she has done emotionally, physically and mentally to be in such a good place with her body and self-confidence.
When we asked her what she wanted to share with other women this is what she said:
“I think sometimes as women we lose our confidence….so why don’t we pick each other up more? Tell that women in line you love her dress, hair, or even smile. See that mom in the store with a crying baby about to break down, tell that mom “Hey momma we’ve all been there, it gets better.” Text a friend and ask if she needs a coffee or even better a bottle of wine to share. Tell your mom how thankful you are for all she does and did for you. The stages of mother hood are hard. You never stop wondering if you did enough no matter what stage your kids are in. Be there for each other we all need it.”

To all the women who cross my path who have felt too small or too large, unseen, powerless, this body of art is for you. I celebrate the connection women have with the divine. I celebrate the divine in all women, no matter their shape, size or age.
